Prolapse Care Pack

£32.00

  • Sea sponges are ethically sourced from the Mediterranean, sustainably harvested, and completely natural. They contain no synthetic fibers. If you look after them they will last up to a year.
  • They are individually packed in a way that allows the sea bed to continue to restock. The divers who collect the sponges are careful to ensure that the roots of the sponges remain intact. They have been farming the sponges for generations and if they over-pick they will lose their livelihood.

The pack contains 2 sponges, a cotton bag for storage, 100ml organic ashwagandha oil.

  1. Trim. Gradually trim down the sponge to fit, they should not feel uncomfortable when being worn. Be careful that you don’t end up with the sponge being too small. It is meant to support the vaginal walls.
  2. Insert. First, wash your hands. Then wet your sponge and squeeze out excess water. Add ashwagandha oil and a drop of orange essential oil if you want. Insert the sponge into your vagina pushing far enough up to support the prolapse. This is easiest while standing. If you feel pressure, remove the sponge and trim.
  3. Remove. Feel for the perimeter of the sponge, grasp it and pull gently.
  4. Clean. Never use soap on your sponge. It leaves a film that will upset the natural balance of your vagina. After removal, soak it in warm water with some tea tree oil for an hour. Then remove, squeeze out excess water and leave it to dry – in a sunny spot preferably. You could also use a hairdryer.
  5. Store. There is a cotton bag in which to store the sponge, not in use.
